KINGSTAR

KINGSTAR is a Machine Automation software platform for building smart machine and controllers.

It consists of five components:

• KINGSTAR Fieldbus (real-time EtherCAT® Master)

• KINGSTAR Motion (motion control)

• KINGSTAR PLC (software Programmable Logic Controller)

• KINGSTAR Vision (real-time GigE Vision solution)

• KINGSTAR IoT (IoT-enabled platform)

KINGSTAR is committed to open standards (Windows, EtherCAT, IEC61131-3, OPC-UA) which protects our customers’ investment by capitalizing on those standards to free machine builders from dependence on any hardware vendor. Features like Plug-n-Play EtherCAT gives our customers flexibility to optimize their machine controller for any smart factory setting.It is also possible to develop with your preferred language C/C++ IEC 61131-3 .NET

Software Only

• Kingstar is hardware independent, it can control any hardware brand.
• Flexibility / scalability.

Real-Time Windows / PC –based

• Based on RTX64 Real-Time solution for Microsoft Windows.
• Standard development environment: C/C++, .NET, VBA, IEC 61131-3…

PLC / Motion

• PLC Open / 61131-3-compliant : Motors controlled through PLCOpen Motion Control standard allows to control any brand and type (stepper, servo, linear) in the same way.
• Simulated axes and I/Os can be used to replace the real HW during development when no access to the full machine.
• Kingstar platform includes the Logiclab Soft PLC component from Axel Software.

EtherCAT

• Auto-configuration of the EtherCAT network
• List of pre-tested HW.
• No limitation to the number, type and brand of the I/O and motors.

IoT Ready

• Cloud connectivity.
• OPC UA protocol compliant.
