STRATON AUTOMATION is the editor of the straton® software, designed to cover all areas of Industry and Automation control; from embedded solutions, through virtualized logic, to big power transformers and power-plants breakers.

Founded in 2002 and subsidiary of the COPA-DATA group, the French company STRATON AUTOMATION is made up of experts who have been working in this field for more than 30 years to propose today a complete solution, adapted to all needs you can have in Embedded, Utilities and Automation sectors.

Whether you already have an existing device or wishes to create your own, the straton soft-PLC can be ported on any platform, allowing to bring automation capabilities into it, via an IEC61131-3 programming Editor and Runtime.

The Runtime can be ported on any platform, independently of the OS. The Runtime and drivers being delivered as source code allows a fully customized integration, with your own C blocks, functions, access to local IOs etc.

Additionally, as today almost any device can communicate via standard or industry-specific protocols, straton supports a wide range of protocols, from Modbus, CAN, J1939, through OPC UA, Profinet, Ethernet IP, MQTT, to IEC61850, DNP3, IEC60870 and many others. Even TLS and Authentication is available on few of those.

Developments of certain stacks are made internally or within the COPA-DATA group, allowing a quick response time in case of questions or new functionality needs.

To answer to the needs of programming, testing and debugging for the final user, we provide an Editor with a user-friendly interface, advanced development tools (IEC61131-3 Editors, SCL Editor, automated development…), debug tools (online debug, soft-scope, test sequence …), test tools (61850 Client tool, graphics …) and many other (web-monitoring, programs conversion …).
