embedded world China: A successful premiere

From June 14-16, 2023, embedded world China celebrated its premiere at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre (SWEECC). For the NürnbergMesse Group and its partner WEKA FACHMEDIEN GmbH, the successful debut in Shanghai was a significant enhancement of the embedded world Exhibition&Conference product family.

"With embedded world China, we are exporting our recipe for success to the key Chinese market and sending an important signal to our customers in Asia," reports Executive Director of embedded world Exhibition&Conference Benedikt Weyerer.

embedded world China kicked off with 124 exhibitors (70 from China plus 54 international companies) on an area of around 11,000 m2. More than 8,100 visitors passed through Hall 3 of the SWEECC in Shanghai over the three days.

"We planned this first embedded world China for over three years and finally brought it to a successful conclusion. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our valued partners, programme committee members and service providers for their patience and support in sharing this historic moment with us. Of course, we also thank our exhibitors and visitors for their thoughtfulness and understanding of a newly established service platform in the industry. In the future, we will develop and explore more opportunities for exchange in the industry, especially for the embedded community in China," said William Gu, project manager in the embedded world China team, summarizing his impressions.

But it was not only the organisers who were very satisfied with the premiere in Shanghai, exhibitors too are already looking forward to next year's sequel.

"The conference was a complete success"

The event was accompanied by a conference with top-class speakers. The programme for this was assembled under the leadership of Chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora. "This first staging of the conference was a complete success, as is also evidenced by the more than 100 submissions. As a result, there were 35 technology-oriented presentations, two keynote lectures by AMD and ARM, and a very lively panel discussion. All in all, an event of very high quality and professionalism", said a highly satisfied Prof. Sikora.

Prof. He Xiaoqing, Chief Secretary of the Embedded System Association, agrees with this positive conclusion: "The first ever embedded world China in June 2023 here in Shanghai was a complete success. It is a professional exhibition, with targeted exhibitor and visitor groups. The embedded world China Conference, held in parallel, was a professional conference that brought together experts from renowned companies both at home and abroad. The conference sessions covered a wide range of topics. I was very impressed by the active participation of embedded software companies at this event and look forward to seeing even more exhibitors and speakers at embedded world China next year."
